Do you believe in pleasing everyone every time? Do you try doing it? How successful are you in it? Even though you might have answered yes for the first two questions, the answer for the last question will never be always.
Why can’t we please everyone every time? I’m reminded of the Pauli’s exclusive principle that says that no two electrons can have the same set of quantum numbers. There are four quantum numbers that can be assigned to an electron. The principle says that, at least one quantum number should be different.
There always is someone who will find fault in everything. There will be someone who will say, “Everything was fine, but …..” What can we do to change such people. Nothing, I suppose. What we can do is to accept that we can’t please everyone every time and move on.
I don’t know the key to success but the key to failure is to please everyone. – Bill Cosby
